Accessibility

We want every contractor to be able to read a rule, run a calculator and get an answer, whatever they are using to browse.

Our target

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA across the site: readable contrast, text that reflows and resizes, headings and tables marked up properly, every control reachable and operable from the keyboard, labeled form fields in the calculators, and results announced where a screen reader can find them. We treat this as part of building a page, not as something added afterward.

Known limitations

None known at launch. When we find a barrier we cannot fix immediately, we will list it here with what we are doing about it, rather than leave you to discover it.

If something on this site is hard or impossible to use, tell us: [email protected]. It helps if you can include:

• the page address;
• what you were trying to do;
• your browser, and any assistive technology you use.

We aim to reply within 5 business days, and if a page is blocking you we will try to get you the same information another way while we fix it.

This page describes our target and our process. It is not a certification that the site conforms to any standard; when we have had the site independently audited, we will say so here, with the date and the result.
