Colorado prints no waiver form, but an agreement to waive lien rights must contain a statement by the person waiving them that, in substance, all of that person's debts to third parties for the goods or services the waiver covers have been paid or will be timely paid.
Nebraska prints no waiver form, and a written waiver of construction lien rights signed by a claimant is valid and binding without consideration, whether it is signed before or after the materials or services are contracted for or furnished.
Wisconsin prints no waiver form. A provision in a contract for the improvement of land that requires a lien claimant to waive construction lien or payment bond rights before being paid is void, and a claimant asked for a waiver may refuse to furnish one until paid in full.
Florida prints two waiver and release forms, for progress and final payments; when a lienor is required to execute a waiver or release of lien for one of those payments, it may be in substantially that form. Under Fla. Stat. § 713.20(6), no one may require a lienor to furnish a lien waiver or release that differs from those forms.
